104 New Omicron cases in Singapore on boxing day, out of 209 new cases with 1 death as of 12pm 26th December were reported on the Ministry of Health website. 31 of the new Omicron cases were local, and the remaining 73 are imported. This brings total Cases in Singapore to 277,764, and total number of those who died to 822.
As of 25 Dec 2021 (COVID-19 vaccines under National Vaccination Programme only) – 88% of total population received at least one dose, 96% of eligible population received 2 doses with 87% of total population completing the full regimen, and 36% of total population have received booster shots.
Under the Vaccine Booster Programme – To maintain the high level of vaccine protection, MOH has rolled out the vaccine booster programme for persons aged 18 and above that have received both doses from about 5 months ago.
You may walk into any of the vaccination centres offering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, without a prior appointment.
You do not need to choose the same mRNA vaccine you took for the previous two doses; you may choose either the Pfizer-BioNTech/COMIRNATY or the Moderna vaccine.
Persons who are moderately to severely immunocompromised are recommended to receive a 3rd dose of the PSAR mRNA vaccine 2 months after their second dose.
