Viriya Community Services (VCS) is a charitable organisation founded in 2001 by the Leong Hwa Monastery to provide community and social services to families and individuals in need in Singapore regardless of race and religion.

Viriya is a Pali word which means Right Effort. We are committed to applying the right effort and be guided by our mission to deliver quality social services and also make a positive and sustainable impact to the society.

We are dedicated to our vision of caring for the community with compassion and concern and our mission to bring joy and enhance the quality of life by providing care and assistance to families and individuals in need of support regardless of race and religion. We will continue to enhance our capability and capacity regardless in the new or enhanced existing programmes to meet the anticipated needs of the community.

Our outreach has grown over the years as we strive to better meet the needs of all members of the society. Every year, we serve more than 5,000 beneficiaries, including children and youths, families and the seniors.

VCS is a full member of the National Council of Social Service and an Institution of Public Character (IPC). Outright cash donations of S$50.00 and above will qualify for 250% tax deduction and will be automatically included in your annual assessment.
