Story of humanity
A grandmother and her grandson and granddaughter were shopping for necessities in the supermarket.
They were selectively picking products from the shelves and only took the ones with great discounts. The little girl chanced upon a biscuit which she was interested to get but decided to put it back on the shelf as she knew they could not afford it. Instead, her grandmother told her to get something for her grandfather.
This time, she had her eyes glued onto a cake. Then a man came by to grab the same cake that she wanted. She gave him a sullen look and he decided that she probably wanted the cake very badly. Thus, he pass the cake to her and her face lit up immediately.
Upon making payment the counter, the grandmother seemed to have short of cash and told the cashier that they no longer want the cake. The same man who was next in the queue purchased the cake eventually.
He rushed up to them and to pass the cake to the little girl saying “This is for you”. The grandmother replied “There’s no reason for you to buy the cake for us”. The man then shared his story when he was 7 and wanted to get a birthday at the counter but his mother could not afford it.
A stranger at the same counter overhead the conversation between the mother and the boy. Thus, he decided to purchase a cake for the boy and wished the boy “Happy birthday”. The boy was extremely grateful but did not had the chance to show his appreciation.
The grandmother accepted his gift of the cake and the man made a request to the little girl that she should help others in need in the future.
The next scene depicted them visiting the grandfather. They wished him happy birthday and handed him a cake. They explained that a kind man paid for the cake and handed them a note.
The grandpa opened the note and read “A simple act of caring creates an endless ripple that comes back to you”.
He realised what comes around goes around. He was the man back then who purchased the cake for the little boy. And now it was the boy who had grown up to be “the man in the queue” who follows on the kind act of helping others.
