Children’s Wishing Well is a non-profit organisation and registered charity which was founded in 2002. We provide a broad range of services for children and youth from low-income families nationwide. Our services support their current educational and daily living needs, and equip them with skills for their future, so as to build a strong foundation for them to contribute as useful members of society.

What We Do
Our Services Support Disadvantaged Children’s Educational And Daily Living Needs.
We provide a broad range of services to more than 1,000 beneficiaries each year. Our services support their current educational and daily living needs, and equip them with skills for their future, so as to build a strong foundation for them to contribute as useful members of society, and escape the poverty trap.
Our signature programme is a holistic enrichment programme which includes weekly tuition by MOE-registered professional tutors, sports, music, art, speech and drama, and short courses in other life skills such as IT, cooking, job interview skills, etc. We also organise excursions or events to expose the children to knowledge and experiences outside of the formal classroom setting. “Career GPS” allows youths to visit companies in a variety of industries so that they are exposed different career options, and are motivated to work towards their goals. Following the visits, if there is a match of interest, we may organise work attachments and mentorship to help them fulfil their career aspirations. We also organise monthly FRESH groceries shopping, so that the children have access to sufficient and nutritious food. We also have on-site facilities for the children such as a reading corner and computer workstations, with corresponding programmes such as Reading Club, coding, and robotics.
We work in close collaboration with Primary, Secondary, and Post-Secondary schools island-wide, other charity organisations, government agencies, and corporates, so as to ensure that our programmes remain relevant and meaningful to the children.
Who We Help
We Follow The Ministry Of Education’s Criteria
Presently, the MOE’s criteria for financial assistance is:
- a gross household income of less than S$2,750 a month OR
- a per capita income of under S$690 for larger families.
Our beneficiaries submit a Nomination Form, signed by their parent(s) or guardian(s) and verified by the School, Family Service Centre or Student Care Centre.
We offer assistance to all regardless of race, gender or religion.
