Our Story

Focus on the Family Singapore Limited was founded in 2002 by Mr Tan Thuan Seng. Since then, we’ve conducted innumerable talks and workshops, organized nation-wide events and counseled parents and couples, dedicated to fostering sustainable and irreplaceable family bonds. From a small team that first operated out of Thuan Seng’s basement, we’ve grown to staff strength of over 40 with our own office at Bishan Junction 8! In 2010 and 2012, Focus on the Family Singapore received the Work-Life Excellence Award and the inaugural Sustained Work-Life Excellence Award in 2014 in recognition of the organization’s success in promoting flexibility and work-life harmony.

We operate autonomously as a charity while maintaining good relations within the global network of another 12 global affiliates. We do not receive foreign funds, and we are fully funded by local donations, government grants, as well as income from our programmes and services.

*These bi-annual awards, conferred by the Tripartite Committee on Work-Life Strategy celebrates Singapore’s achievements in the area of work-life harmony.
