Since 1989, the Industrial and Services Co-operative Society Limited (ISCOS) has been extending friendship and support to its members (ex-offenders) and their families so that they can lead meaningful and productive lives. Under the purview of the Ministry of Home Affairs, ISCOS is the only co-operative in Singapore that actively engages the community to help ex-offenders gain a foothold in society.
ISCOS is proud to be one of the founding members of the Community Action for the Rehabilitation of Ex-Offenders (CARE) Network which organises the annual Yellow Ribbon Project.
Unveiled in 2014, the new ISCOS logo features a symbol resembling a pair of wings and a heart. The wings suggest ISCOS’ role in helping ex-offenders soar towards a better future, while the heart represents care and dedication. Together, these symbolise ISCOS’ hope for members to receive care and re-adapt well to life in the community.
The colours blue and yellow have been chosen to reflect a new beginning. at ISCOS. Blue represents the sky, while yellow with a gold tint represents the dawn of a new day. The play of two blues in the wings adds the element of movement through shadow, taking flight towards a better future.
The tagline “You’ve Got A Friend” demonstrates how ISCOS is a place of welcome where we befriend our members and beneficiaries, helping them to find a foothold in the community.
