“esprit de volontaires – spirit of volunteers”
Regular Service Projects
Regular Service Projects (RSPs) provide a wide array of volunteering opportunities for student volunteers who are keen on hands-on experience in volunteering with the less fortunate in our society. Each of our 8 RSPs focuses on various beneficiary groups. They include RSP (Deaf Community), RSP (Elders), RSP (Friends of Children), RSP (Intellectually Disabled), RSP (Mental Health), RSP (Physically Challenged), RSP (Visually Handicapped) and RSP (Youth). Our RSP volunteers commit on a weekly basis to serve the beneficiaries under their care. The dedication of our volunteers continues to brighten the days of our beneficiaries. May the spirit of volunteerism shine!
Special Projects
Volunteerism can take on an unconventional twist with our 6 special projects, encompassing both local and overseas projects. Our special projects have established themselves well both within and beyond the University. Overseas projects include Camp OutReach (COR) and Overseas Volunteering Expedition (OVE). Locally, we also have 4 special projects known as Challenge ur Limits (CurL), Ignite Change (IGC), Operation Hope (OH) and Volunteer Management (VM). Volunteers from our special projects gain invaluable skills such as entrepreneurship, events management, planning, coordination and more. Our special projects aim to provide opportunities for the underprivileged to participate in our events as well as volunteers to come forward and offer their services in unique ways.
Supporting Committees
Our supporting committees include Publicity & Publications (PnP), Internal Relations (IR), Growth & Opportunities! (GO!) and the Finance Committee. These committees provide supporting roles to the club’s image through the promotion of the club, coverage of events, management of the WSC website and facebook page, production of the NTU newsletter on volunteerism, liaison with external welfare organizations, management of the club’s finances, archiving of club’s achievements and more. Being one of the largest student clubs in NTU with over 1000 volunteers, the supporting committees ensure the smooth operation of the club and are tasked with preserving and improving the image of WSC since 1985.
