As a not-for-profit voluntary welfare organisation, we fulfil our purpose by complementing fellow service providers, working hand in hand with community leaders, institutions and residents to serve the community regardless of race and religion, and with no strings attached.

New Life Community Services (New Life) is a not-for-profit, voluntary welfare organisation, committed to serve the community in order to build the next generation. New Life is a social service arm of Covenant Evangelical Free Church (Covenant EFC).

In 2000, Covenant EFC moved to its own premises at 10 Jelapang Road, Bukit Panjang. Covenant EFC did not just want to be a church within its own four walls but rather exist to make a difference and desire to be a blessing to the community wherein the church is situated.

New Life, therefore, is the platform to engage and reach out to the community through holistic social services that enrich personal, family and the community’s life. Thus, New Life aims to complement fellow service providers, working hand in hand with community leaders, institutions and residents to serve the community, regardless of race or religion, with no strings attached. We are conscious of the religious sensitivities of the community and our activities are neutral, non-evangelistic, and available to all residents.

While we are a social outreach arm of the church, New Life stands as a separate legal entity governed by charity codes with active community partners.

Since 2000, New Life has served the community ranging from children and youth to family and the elderly.

In 2008, New Life consolidated the array of services with the view that the future lies in the younger generations. They are the kind of people who will take our place in the society. Therefore, touching the lives of the youths cannot and should not be done in isolation but requires the concerted efforts of many willing parties as possible.

New Life adopted a multi-faceted approach; engaging parents, teachers, and caregivers, to touch youths in a holistic manner and empower them to master life’s transitions. Ultimately, New Life aims to mentor the young to become disciplined, confident and well-adjusted individuals so they may be able to make a positive contribution to their homes, communities and society.
