Tan Khiam Soon Undertaker was established in 1965 by the late Mr Tan Khiam Soon (Ah Hoon). Back then, assembling caskets required certain skills to ensure that the caskets were leakproof. This was an important procedure because the body had to be preserved during the wake. Mr Tan was well-recognised in the industry because of his skills and was considered one of the top craftsmen at that time.
Initially, Mr Tan started off with selling caskets. Then, he became a casket wholesaler and further established his business by providing a one-stop funeral services for his customers, making funeral procedures easy and convenient for the deceased’s family.
The business was handed down to his son-in-law, the late Mr Ong Kim Wan. Currently, his son, Mr Joshua Weng, has taken over the running of the business. He believes in providing excellent services and quality products at affordable pricing to his customers.
